Safety in Action® Conference Celebrates 40 Years of Advancing Workplace Safety in 2027

Registration is now open for the April 13–15 event in Orlando, featuring expanded professional development, executive and frontline leadership programs, and an exclusive Process Safety Executive Roundtable.

Atlanta, GA, Oct. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- DEKRA has opened registration for its 40th annual Safety in Action Conference, taking place April 13–15, 2027, at the Hyatt Regency Orlando.

The conference brings together safety professionals, frontline leaders, executives and industry experts to exchange ideas, learn from real-world experience and explore practical approaches to improving safety performance across their organizations.

The 2027 conference marks 40 years of bringing the safety community together, with expanded opportunities for attendees to learn, connect and engage with peers facing many of the same challenges.

Additional professional development programming begins April 11, allowing attendees to build an experience around their roles, responsibilities and organizations.

More Ways to Experience the Conference

The event is designed to create more than a traditional conference experience. Attendees have opportunities to participate in focused learning, peer discussions and interactive sessions while connecting directly with safety professionals and experts from across industries.

The 2027 program includes:

  • Safety in Action Conference, April 13–15: Sessions and discussions exploring the issues, ideas and practices shaping workplace safety.
  • Leadership Summit, April 13: A dedicated experience for senior leaders focused on the leadership decisions, organizational priorities and strategies that influence safety performance.
  • Next Level Safety Champions Summit, April 13: A focused program for safety champions and influencers who help strengthen engagement and bring safety expectations to life throughout their organizations.
  • Pre-Conference Development Sessions, beginning April 11: Additional learning opportunities for professionals who want to deepen their skills before the main conference begins, including the Frontline Leadership Skills Academy.
  • Safety Showcase: An opportunity to explore technologies, services and solutions supporting the future of workplace safety while connecting directly with participating organizations.
  • ICON Awards: Recognition of individuals and organizations making meaningful contributions to safety leadership, innovation and performance.

Built Around the Conversations Safety Professionals Need

For four decades, the conference has created a place where people responsible for safety at every level of an organization can learn from one another.

Rather than focusing solely on presentations, the conference is designed to encourage discussion, questions and the exchange of experiences attendees can take back to their own organizations. From senior executives setting strategy to frontline leaders putting safety into practice every day, attendees can connect with people who understand the challenges of turning safety priorities into action.

“For 40 years, this conference has been about bringing people together to learn from one another and move safety forward,” said Angelica Grindle, Ph.D., Vice President and Executive Sponsor of the Safety in Action Conference. “As we celebrate this milestone, we’re creating even more opportunities for attendees to have meaningful conversations, hear different perspectives and leave with ideas they can apply within their own organizations.”

Celebrating 40 Years of Safety Leadership

Over the past 40 years, the conference has evolved alongside the safety profession while maintaining a focus on the people who make safer work possible.

The 40th anniversary conference will celebrate that history while looking ahead to the challenges and opportunities shaping the next era of workplace safety.

Whether attending the main conference, participating in professional development, joining one of the specialized summits or taking part in the exclusive Process Safety Executive Roundtable, attendees can create an experience aligned with the work they do and the impact they want to make.
